LIFTED Pain products -

Info & Cautions

* NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN *

Just in case you missed this info on our CBD page, I will reiterate. For starters, in all of our CBD products, we use only pure CBD oil isolate, which contains 0% THC. So, you can get virtually the same effects, but without the worry of having trace THC in your system that may show up on a drug test or impair certain daily functions, like driving.

Another active ingredient that we have recently implemented is lidocaine, which is used as a numbing agent to the skin for pain relief. Although lidocaine is relatively harmless, you still do not want to use it on open wounds, on your face, and do not use anywhere near or around the eyes.

That being said, the main reason for reading this is because of some of the other active ingredients in our 'LIFTED Pain' products and their effects. The most pertinent of those ingredients is MENTHOL. Menthol is an excellent pain reliever when applied to skin because it absorbs over time to reach muscle tissue and will also get into your bloodstream to affect other areas of your body as well.

HOWEVER...

Menthol can cause irritation and an intense "tingling" and/or burning sensation if too much is used, or used in sensitive areas on the body. PLEASE - test our products on your hand or wrist first to gauge your sensitivity level.

So... The distribution of menthol into our products was heavily considered when it was created, not only for the best results, but for your comfort as well. For example, since our LIFTED Pain soap will be used on almost every part of your body, the benefit is that more of the active ingredients will absorb through your skin and reach many more areas of possible soreness throughout your body.

There are, however, certain parts of your body you may not want menthol to come in contact with. When using any soap in a shower or tub, it is inevitable that those areas of your body may come in contact, regardless of how careful you are. So, we set our menthol content for our LIFTED Pain soaps at 1.5% menthol. This was the highest amount we could use in this specific product that would still be effective, but lower the discomfort significantly if it touched certain sensitive areas.

In perspective, our LIFTED Pain salves were created with a much higher level at 10% menthol. This is because our pain salves are used on targeted areas that are in your control. So there is no worry of having contact will those same sensitive areas unless YOU put it there.

We make AMAZING products. However, these topical products are intended to relieve aches and pains in sore, stressed, tight and/or inflamed muscles and joints. These are NOT created to be able to help physically traumatic injuries or broken bones. On the contrary, our products may still provide some relief indirectly by helping to reduce inflammation in the muscles and joints connected to the injured area.

For the best results from our LIFTED Pain products, do as follows:

1   TIMING - You can use this salve for preventative measures, for existing soreness and pain, with astounding results. However, if you want to get the absolute most out of this product, you have to let it do it's job. If you are constantly moving, straining or putting pressure on the already affected area, even if our product is working, it won't feel like it. You are putting the the affected area right back into the stress that got it that way in the first place! So, even though any pre-activity usage of LIFTED Pain products would be helpful, we recommend the most attention be given when you are able to take your time applying, and take your time relaxing to let your muscles and joints decompress allow the potency of our product take hold.

2   TEST IT - Use your product first on a small area on your hand or wrist and wait for at least 3 minutes to gauge your sensitivity level. Also, check the ingredients thoroughly for any you may be allergic to before use.

3   HOT SHOWER - (Optional). If you have time, we recommend a 12-18 minute shower at the hottest temperature you can comfortably handle before you administer your LIFTED Pain product. This will allow your muscles to relax and pores to open, allowing for much better absorption of the product into the muscles, which relates to faster relief that will last noticeably longer.

4   COVER A LARGE AREA - When applying LIFTED Pain products, make sure to apply an amount of salve that is at least double to triple the area of the soreness. That being said, you need not "cake" it on, but cover a larger area than the soreness. This will assure that there is plenty of the active ingredients are reaching the affected area.

5   SENSITIVE AREAS - DO NOT USE ON YOUR FACE, ESPECIALLY NEAR OR AROUND YOUR EYES. This product contains menthol and is instantly irritating if it gets in your eyes. However, if it does, flush them with cold water. Although you can use LIFTED Pain products on almost any part of your body, we do not recommend for use on your face. Because of the menthol content, it may cause irritation. DO NOT use on cuts or broken skin. Also, we recommend that you steer clear of other "sensitive" areas on your body as well.  If any of those areas come in contact, you may feel an intense "tingle", and maybe even a burning sensation. This is not a real burning, but yet your skin's perceived reaction and is not harmful to your skin at this level. This sensation, although possibly intense, will subside shortly after rinsing thoroughly.

On a side note, keep in mind that there are also going to be areas of your body where it will be tougher for the product to penetrate the skin and/or fatty tissue to get down to the muscles. As an example, forearms tend to be exposed to the sun and have more "wear and tear" than say, the small of your back, where the skin is more supple. Rest assured, the product will still work, but may need extra application(s) and more time for it to take effect.

6 USE PRESSURE TO APPLY - Before you apply, determine the condition of the affected area. If you think the pain could be stemming from an injury, call your doctor first. If it is bruised, apply salve lightly and gently to the area. Our pain salve will do nothing for the actual bruising, but will take down swelling and relieve pain. Again, DO NOT use on cuts or broken skin. If the affected area is not bruised, use your thumbs and/or finger tips (or get someone else to) massage your LIFTED Pain product into and around the area. This will activate and trigger the muscle which allows more blood to flow to the area carrying the active ingredients from the skin. That being said, if the area is too sore or painful to massage, then just apply with as much pressure as will allow.

7   CLOTHING - These salves are oil based. Keep in mind that contact may stain clothing or sheets. None the less, you will want to cover any areas that you apply salve to in order to keep it penetrating the skin.

8   GO RELAX! - At this point, you can do whatever you like. We realize that this may just be a quick fix while you're at work, or a little temporary stiff neck relief while you're home cooking... But we highly suggest just kicking your feet up in a lounge chair, or just lay in bed and allow the effect to roll upon you. If you focus on the effect while relaxing, you may even feel the different stages as they set in.

9   REAPPLY - 15 to 20 minutes after you applied salve to the affected areas, REAPPLY TO THE SAME AREAS. This second application should drive it home. The entourage effect of the 7 active ingredients will begin to kick in and really go to work on your aches and pains. Although two applications is a solid dose, loading is completely acceptable and recommended for extremely and consistently sore areas."Loading" is a term that means to keep a certain amount of product on your problem area at all times.  On that note, you can use as needed. Now, RELAX & ENJOY!

For the best results of our LIFTED Pain soaps,

do as follows:

1   TEST IT - Use your product first on a small area on your hand or wrist and wait for at least 3 minutes to gauge your sensitivity level to the product. Also, check the ingredients thoroughly for any you may be allergic to before use.

2   TAKE YOUR TIME - These products were created for the specific purpose of attacking and subduing the pain and soreness in your muscles and joints. Although you can use it daily, it is not meant for use as a regular "quickie shower" soap. Take your time and lather slowly and intentionally. Use (almost) everywhere on your body and try to keep as much of the lather on your skin for as long as possible. You may even want to aim the shower head away from you while lathering, until you are ready to rinse off. If at any point the effect of the soap becomes too intense, stop using and rinse off.

3   DON'T USE ON SENSITIVE AREAS - DO NOT USE ON YOUR FACE, ESPECIALLY NEAR OR AROUND YOUR EYES. While bathing, there are certain parts of your body you may not want menthol to come in contact with. If any of those areas come in contact, you may feel an intense "tingle", and maybe even a burning sensation. This is not a real burning, but yet your skin's perceived reaction and is not harmful to your skin at this level. This sensation, although possibly intense, will subside in a few minutes.

4   USE (ALMOST) EVERYWHERE - Use this product on as much of your body area as possible (barring those sensitive areas), and NOT JUST WHERE IT HURTS. The active ingredients in this product will absorb through your skin. It will not only reach the muscles and joints under the skin you have lathered, but will also get into your bloodstream and be distributed throughout the body. So, the more of this soap that gets into your system, the better the effect will be, not only for your primary soreness areas, but all other sore areas in your body as well.

5   KEEP BATHROOM HEATED - Because menthol gives the perceived "hot/cold" effect to your skin, getting out of the shower or bath into a cold bathroom may make for an uncomfortable experience. Although this is more for "comfort" purposes, it may make your experience much better if you turn the air conditioner off and maybe even bring a space heater into the bathroom for when you exit.

6   GO RELAX! - At this point, you can do whatever you like. But we highly suggest just kicking your feet up in a lounge chair, or just lay in bed and allow the effect to roll upon you. If you focus on the effect while relaxing, you may even feel the different stages as they set in. RELAX & ENJOY!
